Rebecca writes: "I was waiting for my order to arrive from Elann and I wanted to knit a prototype of the ribbed section so I pulled out some old Wool-Ease. I just couldn't stop. Red and green are my favorite colors so as it started growing I had to keep on knitting. I ended up using 2 1/2 skeins of solid for the sleeves and collar and about 4 1/2 for the body.
I did three rows of seed stitch on the front bands instead of two which made the band and the zipper the same width. I backstitched the zipper edge near the teeth and slip stitched the inner edge where I picked up the band stitches." |
